As most everyone knows, Lance Armstrong is making a comeback to professional cycling in the spring/summer of 2009. His team, Astana, is currently training on the Spanish isle of Tenerife. It's the largest island of 7 in the Canaries. The Canary Islands are known as the "Islands of Eternal Spring". Temperatures change little over the year due to the thermostatic effect of the Atlantic. This is what it looks like from space...

I don't know anything about Europe's beauty pageants. .. but like Lance, this local competitor is a winner!
Meanwhile, on the local beaches, people can relax. Maybe a bit too much, sometimes!
